It has been a quiet work week here with painting and design work squeezed in between what feels like lots of appointments aimed at keeping my aging body in check! This included a routine hospital appointment to check my ear (following two rounds of surgery I had more than ten years ago) - thank you NHS for always giving me that reassurance that everything is ok - as well as an optician appointment with various routine scans and tests.
It was also my baby’s last primary school sports day and we have been prepping uniform for senior school as well as what he needs for his week long residential PGL trip next week. I have to be honest, it has all left me feeling a bit emotional! It feels like yesterday that I was dropping him off for his first day at nursery and despite the fact that he is more than ready to move on, I’m not sure I’m quite there yet.
I sold an original painting this week and made some personalised prints and it was so lovely to receive feedback from the recipients. I’m not sure there is anything more satisfying than seeing something I painted or created being framed and put up in someone’s house for them to look at every day. I’m hoping to create some prints from this original painting - let me know what you think?
I hope you all have a great weekend.
